Nigerian-born Seyi Akinlade, better known as UA.X, is no stranger to the creative world, having made his mark as a photographer and music video director for renowned artists such as Tems, Rema, and Lojay. Now, he steps into the music scene with this nine-track project that showcases his unique sonic signature.

This nine-track album that beautifully captures UA.X's personal and creative journey: With an overall runtime of 21 minutes, the album wastes no time, touching on the trials and triumphs of the hustle - it largely tilts towards love, exploring the multiple dimensions of romance, including its more painful and uncomfortable aspects.

‘Love & Hustle’ perfectly encapsulates UA.X’s ability to craft worlds, both visually and musically. The album’s unhurried R&B melodies, layered with smooth Afrobeats rhythms, create a lush melody where themes of passion and drive coexist. Tracks like ‘Money & Love’ highlight his emotive vocals, while the atmospheric production, handled by TMXO alongside Nonso Amadi, Chillz, and others, provides a rich, cohesive feel throughout.

The album’s sound is characterised by warm, tonal instrumentals that are both sultry and reflective. His ability to merge his love for art with the hustle required to succeed is evident, as he weaves personal narratives of romance, ambition, and struggle across the album.

With ‘Love & Hustle’, UA.X transitions seamlessly from behind the camera to centre stage, proving his versatility as an artist. His debut is a bold statement of intent—both intimate and expansive in its sound, and undeniably memorable.
